Moon Hole! Brain-Controlled Devices!
As a complete break from the discussion in the last couple of posts, I’d like to get all giddy. Here’s the kind of headline I like to read: “Moon Hole Might be Suitable for Colony!” That’s right, scientists are looking at a hole on the moon as a place that future astronauts (lunanauts?) might, well, live. Or at least hang out. And right on the heels of that article, here’s another: The Future of Brain-Controlled Devices! Granted, these come from CNN.com, which is fast-becoming the Weekly World News of the Internet. I kid you not, I once saw a headline on their front page that read … wait for it … Dog Poops Money. And yes, there was a video.
Regardless of the source, those are the kind of notions (dogs pooping money notwithstanding) that get people excited about science. No wonder people searching for Higgs bosons and oscillating neutrinos have to hire PR people.
When I read “Scientists Use Brain-Controlled Devices to Navigate Landing in Moon Hole” my head will explode.
